La Cascade de la Pissvache, Martigny

The Artist explains "This rather rude title of what was a spectacular waterfall in the Rhône valley, is sadly a mere dribble of what it was in the 19th century. Pictures then showed a magnicent fall of what was an accumulation of rain and snowfall high in the mountains above. Now the elements are technically controlled and the water is a mere ‘show‘. However, its location on the road to Martigny is very interesting, particularly as it is close to the ancient abbey of St Maurice."
