La Cigonier, Avenches-Aventicum

The Artist explains "the Roman town of Avenches is one of the few  small towns in Switzerland that can boast a complete outdoor amphitheater which is used for operas on an international level. The column La Cignonier is famous for the birds habitually nesting there and has become a symbol of the town. I purposely created a stage like picture with the setting of the medieval town behind. We are waiting for the actors to appear."
