Ice Chimney on the North Face of the Eiger

The Artist explains: "this 'chimney' is part of the traditional north face route on the Eiger. It is actually a waterfall but becomes a ‘ chimney ‘ when it is frozen in winter.
Such conditions have to be considered by alpenists as waterfalls bring down rocks which are the main hazards in high mountains."
